Bio

J.J. is a researcher in American Studies working with Dr. Julie Sze and Dr. Stephen Wheeler. J.J.’s current research focuses on issues around housing, public transportation, and environmental sustainability in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Specifically, J.J. will be analyzing the discourses and practices policy-makers, activists, and community members use to make claims to space adjacent to transit hubs in Metro Vancouver. Born in America, J.J. is also Canadian and nuučaan̓uɫ. Outside of academia, J.J. enjoys travelling and hiking.
